SLR-Joe.com is a website for photography enthusiasts. It is a combination of an e-commerce website, where visitors can purchase SLR cameras and lenses and an informational website containing photography articles, reviews and tutorials disseminated through an active blog and YouTube channel. The e-commerce aspect of the website is fully automated using a bespoke advertising engine combined with an inventory management system.
In October 2012, SLR-Joe.com was one of the winning entries in the Southampton Catalyst Centre initiatve which provided business coaching, advice and office space aimed at facilitating the continued growth of the business.
Southampton Nanofabrication Centre
Designed and developed whilst employed at the university of Southampton mostly using HTML & CSS. Elements of Flash, jQuery & XML are used throughout the site with PHP & MYSQL behind the scenes.
The Tony Davies High Voltage Laboratory
A site template design for the Tony Davies High Voltage Laboratory at the University of Southampton. The final site design changed slightly from the initial graphics as shown above. The main image of an electricity bolt at the top of the page was created artificially using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Regul8 is an online medical tool called an 'intervention' used to help people suffering with IBS. The project was jointly run between the University of Southampton and the NHS and this is the website layout I produced for it.
Primit, another online medical tool aimed at educating people how to reduce catching cold and flu. The little green bug used as the project logo was developed using mesh gradient tools within Illustrator.
